JAN DALSTEN SORENSEN, NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF DENMARK

Jan Dalsten Sørensen is Divisional Head of Digital Preservation at the National Archives of Denmark where he has been employed since 1999. He holds an MA in History and Latin from the University of Aarhus. Throughout his career at the archives he has participated in the theoretical and practical handling of digital records, especially appraisal and transfer and the development of regulations and requirements. He represents the National Archives of Denmark in the DLM Forum and has written several articles and presentations on the work of the National Archives in the field of digital preservation.

HANNES KULOVITS, AUSTRIAN STATE ARCHIVES

Hannes Kulovits is currently Head of the Digital Archive at the Austrian State Archives. He is responsible for operations and strategic alignment of the long-term repository with the main focus being on born-digital governmental records. Furthermore he is a researcher and lecturer at the Department of Software Technology and Interactive Systems at the Vienna University of Technology. He has been actively involved in several national and international projects in the field of digital preservation.

PETER BUBESTINGER, ÖSTERREICHISCHE MEDIATHEK

Peter Bubestinger-Steindl studied Media Computer Science at the Technical University in Vienna and has been working as project-leader and developer in the field of digitial archives since 2002. He has hands-on experience with different archival metadata, databases, MAMs, and digital audiovisual file-formats from both developer and end-user perspective. As employee of NOA, he set up and developed solutions for different television- and radio-archives, as well as service-providers around the globe (ORF, RTV-Slovenia, Memnon, YLE, …). From 2010-2015, he was managing the video digitization development at the Austrian Mediathek. In recent years he has specialized in coordinating and deploying paid Open Source solutions for high-quality demanding use-cases in professional institutions.
